Construction Permit Fees

Construction permit fees are based on the value of the work including labor, materials, site work, and design fees. No permit is required for cosmetic work only such as carpet, tile, painting, etc.

  • $501 to $50,000 to $39 for the first $1,000, plus $6.60 for each $1,000
  • $50,001 to $100,000 to $360.55 for the first $50,000, plus $5.25 for each additional $1,000
  • $100,001 to $500,000 to $623 for the first $100,000, plus $4 for each additional $1,000
  • $500,001 and up to $2,219 for the first $500,000, plus $2.75 for each additional $1,000

General Fees

General Fees include review fees, surcharges, and other fees in accordance with F.S. 468.361 and F.S. 553.721.

  • Plan Check Fee - 50% of the building fee
  • Building Permit Processing Fee - $22.50
  • Contractor's Registration - $40.25
  • Certificate of Occupancy - $38
  • Certificate of Completion - $38
  • Demolition Fee - $59.50, plus $9.45 per 2,000 sf above 20,000 sf
  • Temporary CO - $270.50
  • Working Without a Permit Fee - 300% of the permit fee, or $250, whichever is greater

Inspection Fees

  • Threshold - $206
  • Additional Inspection - $38
  • Re-Inspection - $38 first and second. $115.50 for three or more (each)
