The purpose of the City of Fort Walton Beach "Yard of the Month" program is to engage the community to recognize city residents who demonstrate above-average efforts in maintaining their property, thereby contributing to the overall appearance of the community at large.
How to nominate a yard
Each resident may nominate any yard in the Fort Walton Beach city limits, including their own yard.
Due date & selection process
Nominations are due on the 25th of each month. The Yard of the Month announcement will take place at the first monthly Regular Council meeting.
Winners will receive
All award winners receive an official "Yard of the Month" sign to be placed on their property for the duration of their award month. "Yard of the Month" winners must be willing to have photos taken and will be recognized on the City of Fort Walton Beach website and social media pages.
