Amy Jamieson has lived in Fort Walton Beach since 1992. She is the Broker/Owner of SandCastle Dreams Realty and has been helping people buy and sell homes since 1992. Amy obtained her Graduate Realtor Institute, Certified Residential Specialist, and Broker’s License in 1995. With a desire to give back to the community she loves, she ran and was elected to the City Council for Seat 5 in April 2013. That is when she realized how great this city really is. Knowing that the next term as Council Member is going to be even more challenging, she is excited to continue to support the growth of Fort Walton Beach and provide the citizens even more opportunities.

Amy believes in constantly challenging herself with all she does. She has completed a variety of courses including Leadership Development with the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors, State Law Enforcement Standards, Fort Walton Beach Citizens Police Academy, the Florida League of Cities Series for Elected Municipal Officials (Institute for Elected Municipal Officials, Advanced Institute for Elected Municipal Officials, and the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials III – The Leadership Challenge), and many other educational opportunities.

Amy co-founded the area’s Mothers Against Drunk Drivers in 1998 and continues to be very active in the organization. She works with juveniles through the Department of Juvenile Justice, speaks to adults who have been convicted of DUI’s, presents to many civic groups, responds to military commander’s calls, and everything in between.

Amy is a member of the Garnier’s Garden Club where she enjoys learning about native plants and meeting some really great women. She provides assistance with the Hurlburt Field Youth Group (Special Operations Youth), and is very active in the Chapel on Hurlburt.

Amy has been married to Rick McCullough since 2014 and says that he is amazing and very supportive of all that she does. She has two sons, Ryan, who has blessed her with two amazing granddaughters, Alexia and Hanna, with a grandson on the way, and Tim, who is now with our Heavenly Father after being killed by a drunk driver.

When Amy takes a little time off from speaking engagements, advocating for our city, or working at the chapel, she loves playing in her yard with a park-like setting that is full of native plants and butterflies. Amy’s favorite pass time is spoiling her grandkids every chance she gets.
