Community Bike Ride set for Saturday morning in downtown Fort Walton Beach

Come join us this Saturday morning for the first COMMUNITY BIKE RIDE, hosted by the Fort Walton Beach Police Department and the Downtown Fort Walton Beach, Florida organization!  Ride with our community policing officers as they bicycle through the downtown district and the neighborhoods Between Hollywood Boulevard and Brooks Street. Additional police officers in vehicles will be providing traffic safety at the front and rear of the bicyclists. The Community Bike Ride is a BYOB event (Bring Your Own Bike).

MEET: The Bike Ride will start and finish at the corner of First Street SE and Ferry Road SE, just north of the Downtown Fort Walton Beach Farmers’ Market.

Police officers will have a tent set up to fit adult and child bicyclists for free helmets provided by the Florida Department of Transportation.

Bike helmet fitting starts at 8:30 a.m. and the ride kicks off shortly after 9 a.m.

Come for the ride, stay for the Farmers' Market.
