The City of Fort Walton Beach was happy to be a part of Elliott Point Elementary School's Walk to School Day this morning. Students, their parents, and school faculty were joined by Fort Walton Mayor Dick Rynearson, Council members Gloria DeBerry and Bryce Jeter as they walked from Uptown Station down Hughes Street to the school.
The group was also joined by officers from the Fort Walton Beach Police Department, including Chief Robert Bage, as well as Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric and deputies from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
Thanks to all who participated, thanks to the law enforcement officers who kept everyone safe, and thanks to McAlister's Deli for providing hot coffee and complimentary breakfast.
