New Software Program to speed FWB Customer Service

New Software Program to speed FWB Customer Service

The City of Fort Walton Beach Public Works Department announces the rollout of TRAKiT, a software program that aims to streamline a variety of services, from building inspections to code enforcement. Once complete, TRAKiT’s process will allow for City staff and members of the public to submit and track permits, code enforcement violations, and other projects in a user friendly, online format.

“Our goal with TRAKiT is to offer convenient, paperless services for our customers,” says FWB Development Services Manager Chris Frassetti. “We see this service eventually cutting down customers’ time spent on the phone and making trips to City offices to conduct business. We’ll also be offering demonstrations for some of our local contractors and high volume clients so they can fully take advantage of what the software offers.”

TRAKiT is expected to “go live” during the first week of February 2018 and will include online sections for commercial and residential permits and inspections, payment of business tax receipts, code enforcement cases, and more. Customers with active projects and cases may experience brief delays during the software transition and go-live period.
