Community Redevelopment Agency

The goal of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida is to eliminate slum and blight using strategies that promote reinvestment and revitalization in the community. The Fort Walton Beach CRA was established on November 22, 1977, in accordance with Chapter 163, Part III, and Chapter 189 of the Florida Statutes and encompasses downtown, uptown, and midtown Fort Walton Beach.

Grants and Incentives

The CRA is now offering funding for qualified development projects through the CRA Grants and Incentives Program approved by the CRA Board on November 16, 2021.

Contractor List

CRA is currently accepting Contractor Applications to compile a list of pre-approved contractors that will be distributed to CRA Grant Applicants.

On May 21, 2019, the City Council adopted Resolutions 2019-6 and 2019-7 expanding the boundaries of the CRA and adopting a new CRA Plan.
